Sex Diet

by Francisco Tourriez, Version 1.1, August 2009

This is probably my most underestimated domain. After all, eating is such an everyday event, and an undertaking everybody is so completely familiar with, that few people would believe they could learn something essentially new about it.

My diet advice is fully science-based, and the subscriber section contains many references to scientific studies.

I started out compiling the information for my own use. It was then that I noticed with some surprise that no comprehensive work has ever been done on the topic. There are numerous (probably thousands) of diets that have been designed to help people lose weight, and there is a heart diet, a diabetics' diet, a diet for people with kidney problems; there is one for athletes, and one for bank managers, and one for migraine sufferers (no cheese, chocolate, and red wine).

Clinical dietitians have one for every major disease, except for male impotence or erectile dysfunction. If diet is so important for people recovering from heart attacks, or kidney failure, or just plain headache, why has medical science not realized that diet is equally important for optimal sexual function.

I have set out to fill the void.

No, I'm not a doc. Sorry, I'm also not a quack. I am science-minded. No esoteric bullshit. I don't believe in sex therapies that are based on cosmic rays, or transcendental meditation. I am a materialist, and a dialectical one on top of that. I know that every state of being, and even every state of mind, is closely correlated to the chemical soup that floats within the walls of cells concerned.

Endocrinology, the science of the hormonal system, is key to understanding the wider dimensions of animal sexuality, including the sexuality of the species homo sapiens. This is more than the engineering of erections for which there now are specific pharmacological agents such as Viagra.

Plain erections are a mechanical event. They depend on dilution of penile blood vessels.

I do have definite advice on dietary means to support proper erectile function. But erectile function is a lesser topic.

More concerned, I am with the neurological aspects of sexuality. The state of mind of heightened sexual desire. Ah, this all-engulfing desire! Lost in libido. The experience of red-hot ears, experienced by puberty boys who, for the first time, enjoy a porn mag.

My midlife crisis started in the late thirties, when, most of all, my thoughts no longer circulated about the problem of how to have my next lay, as soon as possible.

One problem less? Oh no. Wondering about how to achieve your next lay is the most satisfying problem you can have. As long as you are concerned about your next lay, your mind isn't burdened with thoughts on the senselessness of all biological existence, or fear of death. To be concerned with your next lay is such a natural, such a pleasant problem. No time to be depressed. Your real problems start when you no longer bother to think about the problem how to achieve your next lay. Or the best lay of a lifetime. That's when depression creeps in, when you realize that you are a loser.

I don't say that a proper diet, a sex diet, is a cure-all. But the right diet is a major step in the right direction.

Unfortunately, most other diet recommendations in the world are crap. From a sex perspective, most do more harm than good. And if you correctly understand the influence of diet on your mind, and follow appropriate guidelines, you won't need the stuff which is covered in most of my other sexual enhancement domains.
