The Ultimate Sex Diet
Romp your brains out to lose weight? It's certainly worth a try. The Ultimate Sex Diet claims that increased sexual activity, eating healthier foods, and working on self-image will pave the way for rapid weight loss. You can guess where all the exercise comes from - yes, countless hours of canoodling. Though creator Kerry McCloskey does not hold any advanced degrees, she quotes many studies and reputable professors in the field that back up her claim that having a ton of sex has many health benefits. These include a longer life span, improved cardiovascular health, improved immune system, lower rates of depression, and higher pain tolerance. The underlying rule on the Ultimate Sex Diet plan is to "do it" three to five times during the work week and twice on one or both days of the weekend. On the dietary side of the plan, food should be treated as if you are making love for the first time.
You should create a relaxing environment, practice portion control, masticate your food very slowly, and lick your lips for five seconds when you have swallowed each bite.
What makes the Ultimate Sex Diet a different weight loss plan?
What is the Ultimate Sex Diet?
The recommendations of the diet are not set in stone. In fact, if you buy the book, you'll find that the guidelines are given sporadically throughout the chapters. But by having sex the recommended number of times per week, you will be expending the equivalent of approximately 1000-1800 of calories, depending on frequency and intensity.
Healthy eating, on the Ultimate Sex Diet, is achieved through reducing portions, cutting food into small, bite-size pieces, eating slowly, chewing food properly, and licking your lips after swallowing to savor the food. Hydrating is very important to replenish fluids lost during all of your bedroom adventures, and all beverages should be consumed through straws (never slurped!). No food plans, menus, or recipes are given, just lists of "foods to avoid" and some recommended foods.
Psychological well-being is also addressed, as self-confidence and self-esteem play a big role in the intimacy of sex. Taking a fairly heterosexist view, McCloskey suggests that women should wear high heels and matching undergarments and men should also look well-groomed. The Ultimate Sex Diet is not about "empty sex," but more about having a close relationship with your partner to achieve the ultimate goal of weight loss. The plan claims that improved self-esteem will lead to an increased libido, which will make you exercise (through sex) even more and eat healthier-ultimately leading to weight loss.
What are the weight loss expectations?
The Ultimate Sex Diet promises weight loss if the suggestions given are followed. However, no specification on the rate or amount of weight loss is given.
Is exercise promoted?
Obviously, sex is the top recommendation; however, "sexercising" with your partner is explained as doing partially-nude or nude exercises together and is recommended 20-30 minutes three to four times per week. Some of these exercises include "the see-saw," "crunchy kiss," and "libido lifter."
The Ultimate Sex Diets states that additional activities should be done outside of the bedroom several times per week based on the dieter's preferences. For example, horseback riding can help strengthen the inner thighs, which of course will be very useful for that evening's "sexcapades". Other suggested activities outside the bedroom include couples gym time, skiing, or paddle boating.
Are supplements recommended?
No supplements are directly recommended on the Ultimate Sex Diet plan, but the diet recommends ginseng, ginger, and ginkgo biloba in order to increase libido and ultimate sexual pleasure.
